Polyvore – lets users make and buy outfits – online

From the New York Times an article about Polyvore, a site that lets users upload individual pictures of clothes (from retailers) etc to create outfits or sets.  Users can click through the sets and purchase the clothes.  How can this help your business – if you run a clothing retailer or manufacturer you could create sets of your outfits and put them on Polyvore to have people click and buy.  You should also be able to take a set and share it on your own blog – showing people what an outfit could look like.   The site it getting lots of traffic and it has already started to license the mix and match technology to big retailers and let retailers upload their catalogs.  Might be worth checking out…Also if you’re a designer, you could use it to get feedback on prototypes…
