Margot Tohn, Editor and Publisher of Park It NYC guides. A trip into a Sunday matinee with her family prompted Margaret to realize that there was a gap in the market. Pressed for time, her family waited in line for one garage, only to have it fill up just ahead of their turn. Luckily they found another, though more expensive, garage nearby and made the show. But Margot realized that what the world needed (ok, suburbanites who head into the city) was a comprehensive guide to parking in NYC. After 16 months of research (that’s a lot of garages), she compiled her list which has been compared to the Zagat’s of parking garages. Three editions later, she is still going strong and has branched out into creating branded books for corporate gifting, as well as expanding her distribution.
In addition to running her business, Margot’s past includes stints on a sailboat, cattle ranch and winery. Be sure to read more about Margot Tohn at Park It Guides NYC.
